Private Governess, Central Ohio

An active UHNW family in Central Ohio is seeking an experienced and professional Nanny-Governess to join their household on a permanent basis.

We are open to out of state candidates, but you must have the legal right to work in the US

This is a live-out role supporting children aged 6 to 14, and the family is looking for more than traditional nanny oversight. They want someone who can actively educate, guide, and support their children’s academic and personal development, creating a structured, stimulating environment that goes beyond daily care.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, reliable, and academically minded, with the ability to provide educational enrichment, support homework and study routines, and help foster curiosity, independence, and resilience. The family values discretion, consistency, and a proactive, positive approach.

The schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible hours, including occasional morning starts, and every other Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support including homework help, tutoring, and exam preparation

  • Encourage curiosity and creativity through enrichment activities

  • Support good study habits, time management, and executive functioning skills

  • Model positive behaviors including manners, problem-solving, and resilience

  • Ensure a safe and engaging environment, overseeing after-school routines, activities

  • Maintain organization of children’s spaces, clothing, and supplies

  • Accompany children to extracurricular activities, appointments, and outings

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a private nanny or governess

  • Strong academic background, ideally with a degree in education or related field

  • Experience supporting different learning styles

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record

  • Ability to travel with the family or provide overnight care when required

  • Positive, adaptable, and discreet, with excellent communication and organization

Compensation and Package:

  • Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per annum

  • Paid holidays, discretionary yearly bonus, sick leave

  • Start Date: November 2025
